Bowen Hospital is a two-level hospital facility and five-level specialist consulting building leased to Evolution Healthcare. The facility has undergone upgrades and renovations including a NZ$34m development adding 3 operating theatres and consulting building housing consulting space, an endoscopy unit and chemotherapy clinic operated by Icon Cancer Care. Recent development works completed in November 2023 include the fitout of one theatre, new sterile stores, expansion of consulting suites and refurbishment of inpatient rooms. The facility now has 7 theatres (including procedure rooms) and 26 hospital beds. There are 209 on-site parking bays.
